This inverter technology unit makes electrode welding easier thanks to direct current and its low power consumption
(230V-16A power supply).

It has an adjustment range of 10 to 170 A.
The digital amperage display allows you to be more precise in your work.

TIG welding allows you to weld thin thicknesses that you could not achieve with an electrode in MMA mode.

Welding possible on steel, stainless steel, copper, nickel... from 0.5 mm thickness.

TIG welding mode requires the use of a shielding gas during the welding operation (pure Argon).

Arc striking is achieved by touching the tip of the tungsten electrode to the metal workpiece and lifting it slightly to create the welding arc (TIG-LIFT striking method).

It features protection (+/- 15% variation) against electrical overloads, allowing it to be powered by a generator. However, the generator must supply a stabilized current.

Equipped with the following systems:
HOT START to facilitate arc striking, ANTI-STICKING which eliminates the problem of the electrode sticking to the workpiece, and ARC FORCE which increases the arc power when the welding arc is kept short.
VRD: This device reduces the voltage when the welding unit is switched on but not in welding mode; it thus ensures the welder's safety should they accidentally touch the electrode.

To be used optimally and at its maximum capacity (200A) under intensive use, this unit must be paired with a cooling unit and a water-cooled torch.

AC Easy TIG: Simplifies use of the welding machine thanks to predefined parameters. The user only selects their tungsten electrode diameter on the interface
Standard TIG: Dedicated to welding aluminum and its alloys (Al, AlSi, AlMg, AlMn…). Alternating current ensures prior cleaning of the aluminum for a quality weld.
AC TIG Spot: Pre-assembles aluminum parts by tack welding.

Usage assistance for the welder

2 ignition types: HF contactless or LIFT for electrosensitive environments

- 4T: to start welding, hold the trigger once then press it again to stop welding.
- 4T "LOG": the operator can switch at any time between 2 welding currents with a brief trigger pulse (hot current and cold current)

This unit enables welding with tungsten electrodes (TIG welding) on steel, stainless steel, copper, nickel ...including aluminium .

TIG HF High-frequency contactless arc starting

ANTI STICKING: in the case of welding with coated electrodes, prevents electrode overload and thus preserves its characteristics,

TIG BI LEVEL: two different welding current parameters can be selected during the welding process, PRE-GAS/POST-GAS
( automatically adjusted by the microprocessor based on the current intensity and welding duration.

VRD: Improves safety during welding operations in damp environments

It also features the PULSE function, particularly suited for welding thin sheets where low heat input to the workpiece is required and adapted for welding in all positions.
When the pulse frequency increases, arc stability increases and therefore welding precision as well.
It also features the EASY PULSE system, allowing immediate pulsed mode welding even if the welder is not experienced in TIG welding, thanks to automatic parameter adjustment

THINSPOT function, enabling fast and precise spot welding.

For connecting the unit to the gas cylinder, it is recommended to use fitting 804208, which is positioned at the rear of the welding unit.

The PROTIG 231L DC PFC is a pulsed DC TIG welding generator with an integrated cooling unit. Its PFC technology allows it to operate from 195 V to 265 V and achieve a very stable arc even on 100 m site extension cords. In stick electrode welding, its Pulsed MMA mode facilitates vertical-up welding.

TIG AC Easy: Simplifies use of the welding machine thanks to predefined parameters. The user only selects the diameter of their tungsten electrode on the interface
TIG Standard: Dedicated to welding aluminium and its alloys (Al, AlSi, AlMg, AlMn…). Alternating current ensures preliminary cleaning of aluminium for a quality weld.
TIG AC Spot: Pre-assembles aluminium parts by tack welding.

2 coated electrode welding modes

MMA Standard: Accepts basic and rutile electrodes up to Ø 4 mm
Pulsed MMA: Facilitates vertical upward position welding (tubes/pipeline...).

Usage assistance for the welder

2 ignition types: HF contactless or LIFT for electrosensitive environments
3 trigger management modes: - 2-stroke: hold the trigger throughout the weld.
- 4-stroke: to start welding, hold the trigger once then press it again to stop welding.
- 4T "LOG": the operator can switch at any time between 2 welding currents with a brief trigger pulse (hot current and cold current)

MMA welding assistance: - Antisticking: reduces the risk of electrode sticking when in contact with the workpiece
- Hot Start: facilitates arc ignition and is adjustable according to metal type
- Adjustable Arc Force: regulates arc length variations

VRD (voltage reduction device): welding current is delivered only when the electrode is in contact with the workpiece (not activated by default).
